Our Practice Nurse team, have a wide range of expertise and regularly attend continuous training updates. They are qualified to manage long-term conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma, diabetes and heart disease. In addition, they provide cervical screening (smear tests), child immunisation clinics, family planning advice, and travel clinics. They also provide a wide range of treatment room services including injections, dressings, suture removal and phlebotomy (blood taking). NHS health checks are offered to eligible patients where the nursing team may advise on a variety of health issues such as diet and disease prevention.
We currently have a team of three practice nurses and one health care assistant.
